Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all registrations for and participation in the tournament "The King's Crown 2027" as well as related services (e.g. the early-bird hotel room offer) booked via the website. Differing terms of the participants are not accepted unless expressly agreed in writing.

3. Registration and contract conclusion

By submitting the registration form and selecting a ticket, the participant makes a binding offer to enter into a participation contract. The contract is concluded upon confirmation of the registration by email or upon successful payment via Stripe. Registration is only possible if the participant has previously registered at New Recruit and has acknowledged these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

4. Prices and payment

The prices indicated on the website at the time of registration apply (single ticket 99€, team ticket 495€). Payment is processed online via the payment provider Stripe. Hotel rooms are reserved separately at the prices indicated on the website and are to be paid directly on site at Schloss Diedersdorf at the end of the tournament.

5. Cancellation by the participant

Cancellation of tournament participation is free of charge up to 60 days before the start of the event. For cancellations between 59 and 30 days before the start, 50% of the ticket price will be retained. After that, no refund is possible. However, the participant may at any time nominate a replacement person who steps into the contract; no processing fee applies in that case. Cancellations must be sent informally by email to vinc.klose@gmail.com.

6. Right of withdrawal

As this is a service related to leisure activities on a specific date, there is no statutory right of withdrawal for consumers under § 312g (2) no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Only the cancellation rules under section 5 apply.

7. Participation requirements and conduct

Participants undertake to comply with the tournament rules, the house rules of the venue and the instructions of the tournament organizers. The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the event without refund in case of serious rule violations, unsporting conduct, harassment of other participants or violations of the house rules.

8. Liability

The organizer is liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence and for damages arising from injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, the organizer's liability is limited to compensation for typical and foreseeable damages in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations. Liability for items brought along (e.g. miniatures, armies, dice, personal belongings) is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Participants are advised to transport their miniatures safely and not to leave them unattended.

9. Photo and video recordings

Photo and video recordings may be taken during the event and used for reporting and for promoting future tournaments. Participants who do not wish this may object on site to the tournament organizers or in advance by email to vinc.klose@gmail.com.

10. Cancellation by the organizer / Force majeure

If the event has to be cancelled for reasons for which the organizer is not responsible (e.g. force majeure, official orders, pandemic), participation fees already paid will be refunded to the extent economically reasonable for the organizer. Further claims of the participants, in particular for reimbursement of travel or accommodation costs, are excluded.

11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Vis-à-vis consumers, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.

12. Severability

Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
